Join us in celebrating Swami Sivananda’s Mahasamadhi, a day of liberation honoring the guru’s life. Swami Sivananda attained Mahasamadhi on July 14, 1963. Mahasamadhi is the final stage of a realized yogi’s Sadhana (spiritual practice) where they consciously leave their physical body. This stage of practice can occur only once in a lifetime when all the mortal karma has been burnt and fulfilled. The yogi thus attains full enlightenment and becomes one with the supreme being or Brahman. We will offer prayers, devotional chanting and flowers in a special morning puja. Starts at 6:00am Tuesday, July 14.
