Saturday Online Retreat: Sivananda Yoga & Ayurveda with Prashanta
With Prashanta
April 10, 2021
In this half-day Yoga and Ayurveda retreat, we will learn and apply the age-old principles of dinacharya – or daily routine, with the energizing and grounding forces of Hatha yoga. This course will include: a guide for determining your own unique constitution, recipes and herbal tea guides for beginning your retreat, and a manual outlining the 12 classical postures of the Sivananda Yoga sequence from an Ayurvedic perspective.
We will be diving into the classical scriptures from the Ashtanga Hridayum to the Hatha Yoga Pradipika in order to gain a clear vision and understanding of Yoga and Ayurveda straight from the masters themselves.
During this workshop you will:
- Learn fundamental Ayurvedic principles to help guide your life on and off the mat.
- Discover the power of adapting each yogic posture based on your unique physiology.
- Understand how to make moment to moment decisions based on your current state of balance or imbalance.
