Elaine Valdov PhD
Dr. Elaine Valdov, a representative to the United Nations, is a peace and human rights activist. She is President of “The International Young Leaders’ Vision Summit” – empowering persons around the world to find their passion for making a better world, and turning this passion into action. She is also the President and Founder of Yoga Peace Ambassadors and Yogis Beyond Borders. Dr. Valdov lectures internationally on “Making a Difference in the World” in support of theĀ “UN Sustainable Goals”, dealing with issues from eradicating poverty and hunger, providing health and education for all, empowering women and providing for gender equality; and creating a sustainable environment. At UN Headquarters, she held multiple positions in NGOs and UN initiatives, including: Chair – Executive Committee of NGOs Affiliated with the United Nations DPI; Co-Founder and Secretary General – Youth Assembly of the United Nations; Chair – UN NGO Chair for the University of Peace. Dr. Valdov is also a psychotherapist in New York City. Following 911, she was Director of Family Relations. She has received many awards, including: Women of the Year and Martin Luther King Hall of Fame Award.
